The wooden horse at Troy.
I drew it on site, standing in front of it. The horse itself is a modern construction. Nobody has ever found evidence of one at Hisarlik. What was found were nine cities, each built on the ruins of the last, and a layer of ash between two of them. The horse stands there anyway, because the story outlived the city by three thousand years.
A study. Copic marker and ink on Canson Bristol, 21 x 29.7 cm. Drawn in June 2026. Approximately 5 hours of work. One of a kind, signed, with certificate of authenticity.
